Proven New Genetics at Dunbeacon
“Providing clients with a quality product that has been industry tested for 30 years is at the forefront of the Dunbeacon Shorthorn’s breeding strategy. Producers want to know as much as possible about the bulls they are buying. It is one of their major purchases for the year, so we strive to provide as much relevant information as possible.” said Dunbeacon principals Ian and Ali McDouall.
Dunbeacon Newman G083 offers breeders new genetics from a strong proven cow line on both sides of his pedigree. His sire, Eungella Theodore’s Astor D05, has proven to be a low birth weight bull with exceptional fat cover and marbling, a trait he has passed on to all of his progeny. Astor is now an eight year old bull with exceptional structure and perfect feet. Newman’s dam, Dunbeacon Bronwyn 4th, has been one of our premier females providing progeny with extra growth and carcase traits and again, excellent longevity. The Newman sons are a step up in genetic performance for growth and carcase. These bulls have scanned big Eye Muscle Areas and high IMF %. Steers by Newman are on feed now and carcase data is always being studied. |
